Intended Use

This assay is intended for the in vitro quantitative measurement of human immunodeficiencyvirus type 1 (HIV-1) RNA in human plasma using Real-Time PCR technology. It is used to monitor the effectiveness of antiretroviral therapy and may serve as a supplemental aid in the diagnosis of HIV infection. This assay is not intended for donor screening or as a confirmatory diagnostic tool for HIV-1 infection.
